This programme is a recognised higher education qualification in health, care and education of children and young people. We provide a programme of progressive studies relevant to careers in the primary functions of care within the health, care and education of children and young people that enhance your ability to exercise investigative, reflective analytical and reasoning powers in context.
On this programme you will learn to understand the theories relating to the development and wellbeing of children and young people, and to apply theoretical knowledge of development and wellbeing to enhance work with children and young people.
You will develop awareness and appreciation of contemporary challenges relevant to the discipline facing individuals, organisations, communities and society, from a local, national and global perspective. You will raise awareness and appreciation of the role Public Health plays in responding to contemporary issues affecting the health and well-being of communities and populations.
We will focus on developing your independent study and life-long learning skills. This will give you a foundation for successful completion of your degree programme, support your future employment opportunities and build the skills and competencies necessary for career resilience and professional development in the future work context.

We link and work closely with public, private and third sector organisations and groups to provide opportunities for both paid and unpaid work for students.
We particularly welcome applicants already working with children and/or young people in some capacity.
Please note that this course does not take the place of the CCLD Level 3 qualification. If your job role or career requires this qualification we recommend you undertake it separately.
There are various options through which a student can get a post study work visa in the UK.
Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa for the graduates with a genuine and credible business idea.
Tier 2 (General) is the leading immigration visa to work in the UK.
Tier 4 Doctorate Extension Scheme is for students who have completed their Ph.D. and is valid for 12 months for them to work, look for work or set up a business.
