Bachelor of Business in Real Estate Practice - Pathway to Master of Finance

Program Overview

This Fast-track to Masters program allows you to fast-track your career by completing an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in just four years. You will be able to diversify your skill set, increase your earning potential with a more advanced qualification, and expand your career opportunities across a range of fields.

The Bachelor of Business (Real Estate Practice) degree will enable you to gain an understanding of agency and property management, planning and property economics, as well as real estate law, investment and development. This will set you up for a career as a real estate agent or property manager in residential, commercial or industrial property.

You’ll also learn how to make effective and strategic business decisions and start to develop skills in entrepreneurship to understand the importance of a competitive edge in business.

In your postgraduate studies, you’ll become equipped to manage the challenges of the fast-developing global finance industry.

This degree has a strong focus on experience-based learning. You will use simulated financial markets in the Iress Trading Room to enhance your learning and engage in real world practical tasks in specialised fields in finance. You can also choose to enhance your business consulting skills and experience through a professional business placement.

You can choose to be immersed in other real-world challenges, including industry internships and our entrepreneur-based course Startup Studio, which teaches you how to bring a business concept to life. You may also benefit from other experience-based learning opportunities, including overseas study and business mentoring. Our summer and winter schools also offer exciting intensive study and learning opportunities.

What you'll learn
The degree starts with core courses in areas such as analytics, accounting and economic theory. These will give you a solid grasp of business fundamentals that you can apply to a range of careers.

In your specialisation you will develop your expertise across areas such as property agency and property management, marketing and entrepreneurship, as well as real estate law and investment.

Your postgraduate degree will explore areas such as financial theory and markets, investment management, corporate finance as well as econometrics.
