Be part of our new course: a pioneering opportunity to join the first Financial Technology Management undergraduate programme in the U.K.
FinTech (Financial Technology) is a cross-disciplinary subject that combines Finance, Technology Management and Innovation Management. FinTech (i.e. Financial Technology) is an emerging topic in the business world. Global investment in FinTech companies was worth US$24.7 billion in 2016, and it is estimated that increasing investment in the UK FinTech sector would help create an additional 100,000 jobs in the UK by 2020.
This programme focuses on building up students’ business sense, financial literacy, creativity and technology management skills.
You will have the chance to work with students from other university departments to start-up your own business, or to develop your own products - we are ready to support you all of the time.
This degree is supported by our world-class steering group to ensure the course meets market needs and international trends. Members of the steering group are made up of both academics and commercial partners. Their backgrounds include senior vice-presidents from global investment firms, a chief economist at one of the largest banks in Europe and a partner of an international recruitment firm.
Work-based learning is embedded into the programme, meaning that all graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to meet current and future market needs and be ‘work ready’. This includes a broad base of applications from simulation, real-life case studies, event delivery, to work placement opportunities.
As our degrees are accredited by the CMI, all our graduating students will also receive a level 5 Diploma/Certificate in Leadership & Management from the CMI worth over £1,300 at no additional expense.
