Program Overview
Learn to organize and manage environmentally sound technology-based businesses: you’ll do that here.
We will help you understand how equipment and buildings are used with plants and animals to make sure you can make clear and direct decisions focusing on modern agricultural systems, including equipment, buildings, materials handling, and natural resources.
You’ll learn to plan and manage machinery systems, building infrastructure, and soil and water resources used in the sustainable production of food, fiber and energy incorporating appropriate safety, environmental, legal and economic constraints.
You’ll also gain knowledge to implement the business principles and ethical practices necessary to build and maintain a viable farm or agribusiness and become an accomplished professional in agriculture.
What You’ll Do
As an agribusiness: agriculture systems management major at Southeast, you’ll gain real-world learning experience including many opportunities outside the classroom, including:
- Practical management with the supervision of people and equipment.
- Optimize safety and budgets.
- Work closely with dedicated faculty with experience in various agribusiness areas.
- Gain valuable real-world experience through a required internship or research project and at the many departmental facilities.
