Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages program will prepare students to meet certification requirements, and will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the needs of English language learners.
As English continues to expand as a medium for global communication, the demand for qualified English language teachers increases. Likewise, as the nonnative English-speaking immigrant population increases in this country, teachers of English as New Language are needed to provide linguistic and cultural training.
Our students understand the importance of effective communication, and are highly motivated to enter or advance in a field that allows them to work across borders and cultures, and to help others. Teaching English abroad is another option for our students and it is the experience of a lifetime.
Recent graduates, people changing careers, or people contemplating a few more years of working before retirement are all perfect candidates to take TESOL courses.
