Advance your knowledge and expertise in managing various architectural buildings and spaces with the Master of Science in Facilities Planning in the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University. In this 30-credit graduate program, you’ll focus on architectural planning and professional practice methodologies that will prepare you for complex and collaborative working environments across the industry. The MS in Facilities Planning is designed for professionals with an academic background or professional experience in the building fields.
The workshop-based facilities planning coursework takes place in Tyler’s Facilities Management Lab, where students experience interdisciplinary collaboration and address professional practice questions that are drawn from the field. Special topics courses are taught by professionals who share methods and innovations in architecture and design from their own practice.
Students in the facilities planning graduate degree program develop specialized knowledge within the facilities management profession and learn to work effectively with allied professionals to understand the management of facilities from the user’s perspective.

Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):
