Take the next step in your career with UniSQ’s Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Electrical and Electronic). It will give you the freedom of choice to start your career right away or to set a stepping stone for further study.
The Bachelor of Engineering Technology gives you the opportunity to get hands-on with a range of technologies - including electrical and electronic equipment, measurement equipment, PLCs, microprocessors, power electronics and rotating machines, controllers and the Internet of Things - to prepare you for a broad range of field applications.
You’ll gain a thorough understanding of electrical theory, digital and analogue technologies, electrical plant and its control, electronic measurement principles and workshop practices, as well as engineering project management - enabling you to ensure a technological product and its operation are soundly based in theory.
As an electrical engineering technologist your work will focus on taking responsibility for engineering projects, services and facilities; making sure sustainable solutions and practices are employed which optimise the delivery and operation of complete systems in the fields of electronics, telecommunications, electricity generation or renewable technologies.

Incoming Study Abroad International Travel Grant - 2025

The University of Southern Queensland will offer grants to non-award international students commencing or continuing their enrolment in the Study Abroad program, in Trimester 1, Trimester 2 or Trimester 3 2025.

Value	Each grant will have a maximum value of AUD2000 per trimester in accordance with the duration of the award. The grant will be credited directly to the recipient's UniSQ student account as a reduction to their tuition fees. *Students are responsible for paying the remainder of the fees as per the Offer Letter. Successful recipients of the grant will be notified in their initial UniSQ Study Abroad program Offer Letter.
Eligibility	Applicants must: be an international student be commencing or continuing their studies in the Study Abroad program (fee paying) at UniSQ in Trimester 1, Trimester 2 or Trimester 3 2025 be studying on-campus be enrolled in a minimum of three study units for each trimester in accordance with the duration of the grant awarded be studying the Study Abroad program (fee paying) at UniSQ (not be studying Cross-institutional, Professional Development, Bachelor or Master courses) have not already been awarded two grants over two trimesters. Only one grant can be received per trimester of study.
Selection criteria	Applicants will be considered for this grant based on the information provided in their UniSQ Study Abroad program application.

International Student Support Scholarship - 2025

In 2025, the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) will offer scholarships to new international students studying on-campus, external or online. This scholarship is based on meeting the entry requirements for the program of study and maintaining satisfactory academic performance for duration of study at UniSQ.

International students in all areas of award programs undergraduate, postgraduate and research are welcome to apply.

Continuation of the scholarship is subject to the recipient maintaining satisfactory academic performance for duration of study at UniSQ.
Eligibility	Applicants must: be an international student be enrolled in on-campus, external or online mode be a commencing student (i.e. be new to UniSQ) in 2025 receive an offer to study within one of the study periods in 2025, in an award level program offered by the University of Southern Queensland meet the academic and English requirements for the UniSQ award program for which they apply not be in receipt of another UniSQ tuition fee scholarship not be a sponsored student, unless student is sponsored by an NGO or a government of a low or middle income country not be studying through an offshore partner.
Selection criteria	Applicants will be considered for this scholarship based on the information provided on their UniSQ international student application. UniSQ will use information from your admission application to assess your scholarship eligibility. As necessary on-campus applicants will also need to be successful in gaining the appropriate visa for the duration of their study to remain eligible.

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
