Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit and Social Sector Management and Graduate Certificate in Fraud Examination and Forensic Accounting (Bundle Program)

Program Overview

Non-Profit and Social Sector Management

This eight-month graduate certificate program will provide you with an in-depth understanding of how to lead and manage a non-profit organization towards sustainable growth. You will learn about program planning, development and evaluation, transparent and ethical corporate governance, and marketing and sales practices. You will explore the latest trends in fundraising, partnerships-building, and volunteer engagement.

You will also learn how to apply common 'for-profit' business practices that are adapted and applied to a non-profit organization. Drawing on local, national and international cases, you will be exposed to the diversity of the sector and the challenges in managing large and small organizations.

Skills
Throughout this program you will develop the following skills:

  • Organization
  • Leadership
  • Communications skills

Optional Work Term
Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional work term in a formal work environment. The work term is similar in length to an academic semester and typically involves full-time work hours that may be paid or unpaid. In programs with limited work term opportunities, additional academic requirements and a passing grade on a communication assessment may be required for eligibility. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the optional work term stream regardless of success in securing a work position.

Fraud Examination and Forensic Accounting

With the growth of white-collar crime and budgetary pressures on law enforcement, many large organizations rely on their internal resources to prevent, detect and quantify fraud. This eight-month graduate certificate program will provide you with in-depth knowledge and computer techniques to investigate fraud, financial disputes and other irregularities in the business world.
