Laws and Biomedical Science is a double degree which combines practical knowledge of the Australian legal system with an understanding of anatomy, epidemiology and preventative medicine, genetics, immunology, microbiology and pharmacology for a career in either field, or one which combines the two.
This course leads to two separate degrees:

Pharmaceutical companies, government regulatory bodies like the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and law firms specialising in patents for medical technology will all be interested in your skill-set. With a degree in law and another in biomedical science you will be well qualified for a career in medical research, public health policy and management, medical and health-related education, and forensic sciences.

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
