In today’s globalised world where competition among businesses is at an all-time high, there are very few careers in which a comprehensive knowledge of business isn’t well-regarded. Those with strong leadership skills, as well as capabilities in marketing, management, human resources, business administration or entrepreneurship, are increasingly revered as key influencers in contemporary workplaces.
The Bachelor of Business will introduce you to a broad range of foundation and future-focused business units that will equip you for the jobs of tomorrow in a wide range of industries. In addition, you’ll develop a valuable set of employability skills – leadership, strategic thinking, problem solving, communication, teamwork, and sustainable and ethical thinking – which are highly sought-after in today’s rapidly evolving global business landscape.
Major: Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is the process of identifying, creating and realising opportunities for new business or social ventures. It’s about venturing into the unknown – doing something that’s new to the world, new to the market or simply new to you. Entrepreneurship is ultimately about finding new and better ways to create value for yourself, your organisation and society.
In the Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship major, you’ll evaluate established knowledge in the area of strategy, management and entrepreneurship, before critically analysing contemporary aspects of the field. You’ll have opportunities to build your expertise in areas such as innovation in new ventures, innovation in established organisations, social entrepreneurship and new business start-ups, as well as develop solutions to real-world challenges in current and emerging business contexts.
