Major: Psychological Science
Psychological science is rooted in the study of the concepts of psychology – it’s the scientific study of psychology, behaviour, mental processes, communication and human interaction. It focuses on the processes of the human mind, including thoughts, feelings, memory, motivation, personality, intelligence, perception and desires.
In the Psychological Science major, you’ll gain a useful understanding of psychological principles, as well as training in psychology for careers that need an understanding of human behaviour, such as mental health agencies, not-for-profits, counselling service, hospitals and research organisations. The major offers you the flexibility to study a range of diverse areas in addition to a minimum number of psychology units.
