Bachelor of Information Technology in Network Design and Management / Bachelor of Laws

Program Overview

Gain a competitive edge when you combine legal expertise with strong technical skills, leading you to a rewarding career in the dynamic Information Technology (IT) sector, or in the legal field.

The Bachelor of Information Technology provides foundation knowledge of organisational areas, building your knowledge across underlying sciences, engineering, and mathematical methodologies. You will study real-world projects and interact with and learn from industry professionals to ensure your job-readiness upon graduation.

Throughout the Bachelor of Laws you will be equipped with a comprehensive legal education. This world-class degree provides you with a thorough grounding in the law, the social and ethical context in which law operates, while equipping you with essential practical skills including an internship and integrated skills program.

A double degree at UOW provides a world-class qualification in less time and at less cost than studying the two degrees separately. Having a double degree will give you a competitive advantage in a crowded job market.

Major: Network Design and Management

Develop the skills necessary to build or manage networks, supporting and equipping organisations. Network designers enable governments and businesses to share data and applications to achieve greater strategic advantage through, for example, the use of social media and cloud computing. IT networks provide the latest information and a place of digital connection for people. By studying network design and management you will develop the skills necessary to build or manage networks to support businesses and governments in a competitive global market.

In this major you will complete a final-year capstone team project. You can also choose to study a double degree with law, or business administration, providing broad experience of technology using various industry products such as Microsoft, Apple, Oracle, SAP and Cisco.
