This combination of electives, taught within smaller, more personalised classes, offers a student focused learning environment, greatly improving the value of each elective and ensuring that each student receives the highest level of support and encouragement during their time at UC.

Students of this course will also gain extremely strong links to the local public and private sectors, giving them unrivalled access to a network of professional contacts, practical exposure and the opportunity to study real-world situations through project work, internships and mentorships.

There’s also opportunities for international collaborations and the chance for students to qualify for admission to practice law in their final year.

Specialist Major: Culture and Heritage
This course allows you to build your passion for culture and heritage into a rewarding and sustainable career. Building on the core skills and knowledge embedded in your arts degree, you will complete a specialist major that brings alive the richness and complexity of culture and heritage in their many forms - from the material, to the intangible and the digital. Engaging with diverse cultures and communities, heritage places, landscapes and cultural collections you will develop your critical and technical skills. Through site visits, online projects, field trips, and internships you will gain real-life experience of cultural sector practice, and connect to professional networks. You will explore heritage in a variety of social, cultural, and political contexts around the world, with a particular focus on Indigenous and First Nations issues, and with opportunities for international experience through Study Abroad. You can build on this major, and deepen your expertise, by adding our Vertical Master of Arts, which offers further professionally oriented study in heritage conservation, and digital and cultural leadership.
