Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BET) introduces students to the essential core knowledge and skills in the field of information and communication technology (ICT), along with comprehensive knowledge and skills ranging from management on the business side to technology resources and building on the technical side. Graduates will possess strong communication skills with solid expertise to critique, synthesise and apply new development, skills, knowledge and standards in the ICT field to real world ICT systems with respect to their business environments, policies, and management. Graduates will also have the knowledge and skills of cutting edge developments in the ICT industry including business, information systems, system analysis and modelling, cyber security and system administration, networking and software development etc., with a high-level awareness of professional ethics, responsibilities, values and standards. The Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BET) is not accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS).
Core Major: Information Technology and Systems
The core major Information Technology and Systems (ITS) provides students with the essential core knowledge and skills in the field of information and communication technology (ICT). Through this major, students will be armed with a solid foundation of a good understanding of the ICT profession including professional ethics, professional expectations, team work skills, communication skills, societal issues, legal issues, and privacy issues etc. Students will also be able to demonstrate the synthesis of knowledge and skills acquired throughout their coursework study to formulate and implement ICT solutions by taking into consideration professional practice, code of ethics, and professional standards of the industry under the context of social and economic constraints, legal and ethical issues, risk and benefit balance, technology availability and stakeholders' acceptance etc.

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
