Program Overview

Get ready to ignite your passions for drama and performance with a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Drama and Performance). Thanks to our partnership with TAFE Queensland you’ll gain the knowledge and experience to initiate and produce creative performances, projects, and events to activate and empower communities. You will study the role of the arts facilitators, educators, producers, and project managers in creating, leading, and facilitating projects for positive social change and real-world impact.

Also suitable for beginners, emerging and established performing artists who want to continue exploring their independent practices, the Bachelor of Creative Industries (Drama and Performance) will engage you in performance theory, professional practice, and develop your entrepreneurial skills.

Study a Bachelor of Drama and Performance at UC and you will:

• Engage and empower communities through the arts with this hands-on degree. 
• Develop the skills and knowledge required to initiate and produce creative performances, projects and events to activate and empower communities. 
• Study the role of the arts facilitator, educator, producer and project manager in creating, leading and facilitating projects for positive social change and real-world impact.

Work Integrated Learning (WIL)
You’ll be encouraged and supported to find relative work placements, enabling you to experience the reality of working within the industry or a particular company, and the opportunity to build useful networks for a future career.

Core Major: Professional and Creative Industries
The Professional Core is a cohesive and scaffolded stream of professional education units that will enable students to integrate theoretical learning with practice throughout their degrees through authentic, real-world learning experiences.

The Creative Industries Core units provide a holistic and multi-disciplinary view to the shared ideation of all degrees in the program. Students will have an opportunity to engage with a broad range of people, while learning about the journey from a creative industries perspective.
