Master of Science in E-Commerce and Logistics

Program Overview

E-commerce has been growing steadily into one of the most important sales channels for companies over the past few decades. Besides national online retail, in particular cross-border e-commerce is on the rise globally. However, e-commerce growth relies on efficient logistics systems to succeed. The Master’s program in E-Commerce & Logistics (M.Sc.) offers you a unique insight into both industries and into both the design and functioning of their interplay.

The Master’s program in E-Commerce & Logistics (M.Sc.) provides you with a very solid foundation in business administration and economics. On top of that, you will study the e-commerce and logistics industry in depth. Additionally, you will expand your intercultural and language skills, round out your profile via an elective module, and have the opportunity to do an internship or spend a semester abroad.

Study content
You will study the e-commerce and logistics industry in a structured way (M-A-P-S)

  • Markets: In your first semester, the e-commerce and logistics industry will be introduced in general.
  • Application: Your second semester will be devoted to application, by focusing on the necessary IT solutions that an e-commerce player needs to employ as well as on e-commerce operations management in practice, that is warehousing, fulfillment, and (parcel) delivery.
  • Progress: Building on these basics for a company to function, the third semester will deep-dive into how to ensure progress in e-commerce businesses by emphasizing portfolio design and digital channel management as well as strategic sourcing.
  • Strengthen: Your program will end with learning on how to strengthen online retail and supply chain management by shedding light on digital marketing management and service relationships.

Customizable third semester
In addition to compulsory modules, the Master’s program in E-Commerce & Logistics (M.Sc.) offers you the opportunity to pursue your personal interests and develop your professional profile. In the third semester, you can choose an elective module from one of the following topics:

  • Corporate Finance
  • Sustainability Management & CSR in a Global Context
  • Consumer Behavior & Psychology
  • Strategic Marketing & Brand Management

Alternatively, you can choose to complete an internship instead of an elective module or opt for a semester abroad.
