These close ties mean that when you finish your degree, you’ll have exemptions from some of their highly respected professional accountancy exams, becoming a fully qualified accountant sooner.

During your degree, you’ll also have the opportunity to join the ACCA’s accelerate scheme and the CIMA university scheme, giving you associated membership of those bodies when you graduate. Membership comes with some really valuable benefits, including discounted accountancy exam fees, access to great resources and exciting networking opportunities.

You can also study a language with this course. You can be awarded the degree ‘with language’ in the title if you choose to study a foreign language in all years of study.

That’s why, at Hertfordshire, we strongly encourage you to take a paid work placement as part of your accounting degree. It can be a year-long assignment between your Second Year and Third Year, or two shorter placements during the summers after your First and Second Year. If you choose the year-long placement, you won’t pay tuition fees for that academic year
