Politics and International Relations
Our new three year BA (Hons) Politics and International Relations degree takes our expertise in training people for careers in the legal profession and applies it to career pathways in politics and international relations. You will develop the skills needed to pursue a career in these areas, as well as in related fields of employment such as local government, NGOs and public services, or to undertake graduate level studies. These skills include data analysis, critical thinking, debating, advocacy and negotiation, and applied research skills.
You will benefit from extracurricular activities such as high profile speakers, forums and debates and trips to places of interest such as the House of Commons.
Full-time three year BA (Hons) Politics and International Relations
Our focus on practical and applied skills throughout the degree programme, means you will be able to move from analysis to political practice, preparing you for Master’s level study or employment in a wide variety of sectors.
In your first year you will gain a fundamental grounding in Politics and International Relations, ready to move on to study Political Thought, Ethics and Jurisprudence in year two and the Law of Government in year three. You will also complete a Dissertation in your final year.
In addition to your core modules you will have the opportunity to study two optional modules from an exciting set of courses, such as Democracy, Human Rights and Global Politics, The Politics of Control, etc. This will enable you to learn more about particular academic and/or career interests, preparing you for your future career.

Foundation Year
You can choose to take an additional Foundation Year before you start your course. This introductory year focuses on developing the key skills required to study at degree level. You will study six modules and on successful completion progress onto any of our three year degrees.

Early Bird Discount for the June Intake
Students who complete their deposit payment on or before 30th March will be eligible for an additional £500 reduction in their tuition fees.

The University of Law offers the International Bursary to eligible international students. To be an international student you must have:
There is no separate application process for the International Bursary. If you are eligible for the International Bursary you will be notified of your entitlement in your offer letter.
All eligible international students will receive the International Bursary annually and the amount will depend on which course you are studying. The International Bursary is awarded as an annual course fee reduction.

International Offers and Benefits
The University of Law is offering eligible international students an early bird discount of £500 on course fees, called the “International Early Bird Discount”, in relation to certain courses. You do not need to make an application for the International Early Bird Discount – if you are eligible as described below, you must accept and make the prepayment for your place by the date specified, and the discount will automatically be applied to your University Account.

What courses qualify for the International Early Bird Discount?
The International Early Bird Discount applied to all courses except:
There are various options through which a student can get a post study work visa in the UK.
Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa for the graduates with a genuine and credible business idea.
Tier 2 (General) is the leading immigration visa to work in the UK.
Tier 4 Doctorate Extension Scheme is for students who have completed their Ph.D. and is valid for 12 months for them to work, look for work or set up a business.
Tier 5 Youth Mobility is for individuals of certain countries like Australia, Canada, Japan, Monaco, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, and New Zealand aged between 18 -30 who wish to move to the UK.
Tier 5 GAE is for individuals who want to come to the UK for work experience, training, research or a fellowship.
