Diploma of Practice Management reflects the role of business or practice managers who manage the operation of small to medium sized health practices. This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to oversee the operations and promotion of medical, dental and health practices.
The aim of the course is to produce highly skilled, competent, confident, critically thinking Practice Managers with a nationally accredited qualification in order to practice in a variety of health practice areas including medical, dental, chiropractic, podiatry, rehabilitation, community, mental health or aged care settings in Australia.
The healthcare sector is dynamic and challenging, and healthcare administrative professionals must be sharp-thinking, flexible and adaptive. This course teaches the necessary skills and critical core competencies such as communication, leadership, professionalism, knowledge, and business skills.

After the successful completion of the program the candidates may gain employment as Practice Managers in such settings as Medical Centre’s, Dental Clinics, Chiropractic Clinics, Podiatry Clinics, Kindergartens, Maternal Health Care Centre’s, and other community Health Care settings. Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
