The Applied Mathematics Program offers a small class environment with faculty dedicated to teaching and student success. Our faculty work closely with each student to help foster their growth, both with topics in applied math and more generally as a future professional. This program incorporates best practice recommendations from the Mathematical Association of America, and the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics. Beyond the common core of classes shared with the general mathematics major, this program includes additional coursework in mathematical modeling, computer programming and statistics.
