Diploma in Film Production Directing for Extended Reality

Program Overview

In the two-year Film Production – Directing for Extended Reality (P114) program, students develop the skills necessary to excel as directors across diverse platforms, including film, TV, streaming, advertising, and social media, spanning traditional, digital, and virtual production landscapes. Students learn to effectively direct actors and collaborate with a range of professionals to bring a creative vision to life.

Students delve into LED wall technology to understand the underlying systems and master pre-production methods essential for effective LED wall filming. The curriculum ensures that graduates are proficient in executing a comprehensive vision for both virtual sets and live-action characters, translating concepts or scripts into compelling video content suitable for virtual and traditional productions.

Additionally, graduates will possess the capability to seamlessly integrate new production methods with traditional pipelines. This includes proficiency with cutting-edge technologies like the Unreal Engine software, specifically applied within LED walls and volumes. This holistic approach equips students to navigate and contribute to the evolving landscape of film and media production.
