When you enrol in the Graduate Diploma of Museum Studies at Deakin, you will learn how to identify, conserve and interpret objects and collections in museums and galleries and the role of museums within society.

The Graduate Diploma of Museum Studies is designed to provide you with the range of hands-on skills and theoretical knowledge required to work in all kinds of museums.

Deakin College Foundation Pathway Scholarship

Students who complete the Deakin College Foundation program and enrol directly into a Deakin University degree will be eligible for the new Deakin College Foundation Pathway Scholarship.

Eligibility criteria
The bursary is open to all international students. The bursary can not be held in conjunction with any other Deakin scholarship.

Deakin University offers a wide range of scholarships and bursaries to assist students from India to support their tuition fees for on-shore studies in Australia.

Deakin University offers a bursary of 20% and a scholarship of 25% based on academic merit as outlined in the table below. They are offered upon the total indicative tuition fee stated on your offer letter, available for the normal duration of the course.

Work Permit

PGWP

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
