Concurrent Disorders

Co-occurring substance use and mental health problems are challenging for individuals and families. 
Currently, best practice suggests that screening for concurrent disorders is a priority for anyone presenting with addiction or mental health concerns. This is the focus for human service organizations, not the exception.

Most promising practices in social and health service agencies include integrated treatment approaches based on a person-centred model of wellness and health.
