Foundation Studies Program in Business
Foundation Studies Program in Business is a university entry program designed for international students who have completed a minimum of year 11 or its equivalent. Whether you dream of being the CEO of your own company or the senior executive of a global enterprise, our business course will equip you with the knowledge and experience to get you on your way.

Articulation to Western Sydney University
Students must:

• Complete all the units within their chosen sequence
• Pass Introduction to Academic Communication 2 with a minimum C grade.
• Achieve a minimum GPA. Please check your Letter of Offer for details.

Bachelor of Arts

Our new delivery mode combines traditional classroom learning with 24-hour access to program materials online. This gives you greater flexibility and more time to discuss ideas and collaborate in class.

Depending on your major, there are opportunities for practical experience and international placements. We’ve also got state-of-the-art facilities like our own recording studio, multimedia labs and digital suites.

Effective communication and critical thinking skills are valued in all industries. That’s why there are so many career pathways in this program. Communication and media, education, psychology, social policy, writing and publishing are just some of the career opportunities our graduates pursue.

Major: Geography and Urban Studies
Students in this major examine the geography of contemporary Australian cities and regions. Geography is the integrated study of people, places and environments.

The cutting edge interests of today’s Geographers include post-colonialism, the emergence of global information economies, indigenous issues, class and cultural disparities, population movement, sexuality and space, and the global diffusion of popular culture.

Urban Studies is a newer discipline focused on social justice within the city, through its critical assessments of peoples’ access to scarce urban resources, such as housing, transport, education and employment.

The political, economic, and cultural forces that shape cities and urban policy are the key concerns of the Urban Studies curriculum. These applied interests in urban well-being and city structure are the intellectual basis for the Urban Planning profession.

The Geography and Urban Studies major is a compulsory component of the University’s accredited Planning course.
