Program Overview

If you want to work in sports television, this course develops your technical and production skills in our multi-camera HD TV studio while getting you out on location at live sports events. It includes the option to specialise in radio broadcasting.

You are taught by an academic team who have strong UK and global industry connections, ensuring you are bang up to date with current industry practice and new developments in sports broadcasting. The course offers many opportunities to develop your research skills, industry awareness and employability as well as giving you the chance to collaborate with students from Sports Journalism, Television Production and other media courses.

For those interested in radio as well as TV sports broadcasting, there are crossover units including reporting and writing, content and creation, multimedia newsdays, sports journalism and sports podcasting as well as an optional unit dedicated to radio.

Bedfordshire sports broadcasting alumni have gone on to work for high-profile production companies including BT Sport, Sky Sports and Eurosport.
