If you’re keen to specialise in human resource management, and want to learn the business skills and knowledge to enhance your professional practice, then the Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) is a great option. The Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) integrates theory with real-world practice through UC's Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities, designed to prepare students for their future careers. UC provides diverse WIL options, including industry case studies, guest speakers, internships, work placements, industry projects, competitions, exhibitions, study tours, virtual experiences and more.
The course includes both workshop-based and project-based units which simulate actual HRM industry experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to undertake an internship or work closely with your own employer to explore a substantial industry-related project. Previous Human Resource Management students have undertaken internships across a range of sectors, with organisations such as Adecco Australia, CSIRO, PriceWaterhouseCoopers Canberra, Soldier On, Cushman & Wakefield, UniLodge and the University of Canberra College.
Specialist Major: Human Resource Management
The course offers five specialist HR practice-focused units, two breath units (employment law and organisational behaviour) and an industry project. Students commence curating evidence in the foundation unit (Managing Human Capital) and continue this process throughout the course. It is intended that the e-portfolio curated by the end of the course could be used to provide evidence for professional certification purposes.

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
