By combining a Bachelor of Business with a Bachelor of Political Science and International Relations, you'll open the possibility of a wide range of career opportunities. Graduating with a double degree allows you to gain the skills for exciting careers in either business, political science or international relations, from international diplomacy and policy analysis to international business, roles in local and national government to roles with Australian, non-governmental organisations or international organisations like the UN or World Trade Organization.

• Asian Business: Career opportunities in government, businesses with overseas profiles, international aid and other non-governmental organisations, news and media organisations, and the education industry in Asia.
• Behavioural Science: Career opportunities in government, private enterprise and not-for-profit organisations across various disciplines including marketing and advertising, human services, healthcare, economics, policy development, research and evaluation of programs and services.
• Business Analytics: You'll be at the forefront of tomorrow's business decisions by acquiring a 'common language' understandable by both data scientists and business management. You may find roles in analytics and strategy across the spectrum of industry-government, private sector and not for profit-as companies look to gain strategic advantage from data-led decision making.
• Employment Relations: You may find opportunities to work as an employment relations manager or consultant, or in roles dealing with workplace planning and policy, managerial strategy, industrial advocacy, occupational health and safety, and workplace negotiation.
• Events: You will be well prepared for an exciting career working for event and conference organisers in the sport, tourism, marketing, media and cultural sectors as well as coordinating and managing government event portfolios.
• Financial Crime Investigation and Compliance: You will be prepared for a range of career paths, including roles in financial crime compliance, sanctions management, anti-bribery and corruption compliance, investigation of anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF), forensic accounting, data management and analysis, risk management, regulatory advisory, fraud prevention, and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes. These career opportunities are available in various sectors, including finance and banking, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies.
• Human Resource Management: You will graduate with a degree recognised by the Australian Human Resources Institute and be equipped for a career as a human resource manager or consultant. Human resource professionals work in many sectors including business management, counselling, workforce planning and policy, and recruiting and training staff for the public and private sectors and non-government organisations.
• Innovation and Entrepreneurship: As a graduate of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship major, you'll be able to create and develop innovative ideas that enable scale and societal impact. • International Business: You will be prepared to work with international trade and investment organisations or in the public and private sectors in management, strategic planning, research, corporate government relations, global operations and public relations.
• Logistics and Supply Chain Management: You may find opportunities to work as a logistics and supply chain manager, purchasing manager, business or strategy manager, or export and import operations manager. These career opportunities exist in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
• Management: Good managers are needed across all sectors and in businesses of all sizes. With this qualification, you can apply your business management knowledge to an area of personal interest and find opportunities in roles such as a business manager in human resources, strategy, planning and policy, and training and development.
• Marketing: You will be able to work in any industry or organisation that needs to promote its products or services, including entertainment and fashion, tourism, advertising, public relations, and business consulting. You might work as a brand manager, marketing manager, advertising account manager, market research analyst, public relations manager, or sales manager.
• Real Estate and Property Development: The property sector is expanding in Australia and around the world, creating a wide range of employment opportunities in the commercial, residential and tourism sectors of the real estate and property management industries. Tourism managers are employed by destination marketing organisations and all levels of government throughout Australia and internationally. You will be prepared for work related to major tourism infrastructure and planning projects, shaping the visitor experience in tourism destinations.

Scholarships

International Early Acceptance Award

We are delighted to be offering 10% credit on your first trimester's tuition fees if you are commencing in Trimester 2, 2025, and accept your offer and make payment within 14 days. This award applies to undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs (exclusions apply).

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply you must:

• Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
• Be a full-time student starting in Trimester 2, 2025.
• Accept your offer to study at Griffith and make payment within 14 days of receiving your Letter of Offer. The acceptance date for this award will be outlined in your Letter of Offer.
• Be studying an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program. See the Terms and Conditions below for excluded programs and cohorts.

Terms and Conditions

• Griffith University academic and English language entry requirements apply, including results of previous study and English language proficiency.
• The award covers 10% of undergraduate or postgraduate coursework tuition fees for the first trimester of study only, for students commencing in Trimester 2, 2025.
• Students must accept their Letter of Offer and pay their total deposit fee by the award acceptance date specified in official University communication. This award will be granted as a non-refundable credit on the student account. Should a student withdraw or cancel for any reason, the award amount is non-refundable.
• Students who defer commencement to an intake after Trimester 2, 2025 are not eligible to receive the award.
• If eligible, the Early Acceptance Award will apply in addition to other Griffith International student scholarships.
• Students must be International Fee Paying to qualify for the award.
• Excludes students enrolling in Higher Degree Research, non-award, Study Abroad Program, Masters Qualifying Program, Dental (1577, 1613, 1638, 1574, 1580, 2126, 5702, 5703, 5699), Psychology (5070, 5747, 5753), Medical (1280, 5099), Nursing and Midwifery (1162, 1354), Master of Speech Pathology (5567), Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (1604),  Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) (1662), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) (1590), English language programs at the Griffith English Language Institute, programs delivered wholly online, programs only offered part time, programs delivered onshore or offshore in collaboration with a partner organisation.
• Students must not be Australia Award/Australian Government scholarship recipients, foreign government scholarship recipients or on a pathway package with Griffith University.

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
