Career Opportunities
By completing the Master of Health Management graduates will gain the core knowledge, perspectives, skills and metacognitive abilities in key areas, such as understanding the structure and complexity of the health and social care system, governance, safety and quality in healthcare, leadership and management as well as collaborative practise in healthcare, evidence-based practice, healthcare information and technology management, healthcare change management, strategic and workforce planning in health, health finance and economics, health statistics, epidemiology and critical analysis and health management research.
Successful completion of the Master of Health Management course prepares you for managerial and leadership roles related to the delivery of health and social care services in a variety of fields, such as hospitals and community health centres, private clinics, aged care services, health planning and administration or quality assurance in government agencies, aid services and so on.
Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
