Students successfully completing the Diploma of Business will be granted entry into the second year of a Bachelor of Economics at Adelaide University.
Our Bachelor of Economics will give you a comprehensive and analytical understanding of economics. Learn how governments, industries and businesses allocate resources to meet individual and societal needs. Develop essential communication and analytical skills to inform decision-making and policy development.
Your studies will give you a deep understanding of microeconomics – examining economics from an individual and business perspective. Explore macroeconomics, looking at large-scale factors, such as national income, employment and international trade. Learn about econometrics, where you’ll use your analytical skills to understand economic data and test theories. You’ll also complete elective courses on a wide range of economics topics – from environment and development economics to using big data to solve economic and social problems. Undertake an internship or career development opportunity in your final year to prepare you for the workforce. Graduate Scholarship
The SAIBT Graduate Scholarship is now open to applicants currently offshore in South Asia and Africa who will be commencing in our June intake in 2024. Applicants who meet the scholarship criteria will receive AUD$4,000 towards their packaged UniSA program.
Scholarship Criteria
Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
The professions which are the highest in demand in Australia are Cabin Crew members, Chefs, Account Managers, Teachers, Architects, Interior Designers, Engineers, and Marketers.
