Diploma of Arts, Leading to Bachelor of Arts (Pathway to Teaching Primary) in Organisations and Work

Program Overview

Are you interested in studying at university, but don’t have the required qualifications to attend? That’s where our diplomas come in. Once you successfully complete an SIBT diploma in 8 or 12 months, you can progress straight to your second-year studies at Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus. Our diplomas can also be used to upskill or to launch a new career, so that you can follow your dream career path.

Diploma of Arts
A Diploma of Arts helps prepare you for a broad range of further study in arts, communication or social science, by exploring a broad range of disciplines including linguistics, cultures, criminality and creativity. By completing a Diploma of Arts, you will be qualified to gain entry level positions in a range of fields using the practical teamwork and communication skills which you acquired whilst studying at SIBT. Our students who successfully complete the diploma will be eligible to enter second year of a bachelor’s degree at university.

Second year at Western Sydney University

Bachelor of Arts (Pathway to Teaching Primary)
This degree will put you on the path to a Master of Teaching, and a rewarding career as a primary-school teacher. Look forward to agency placements and field experience that will give you a real sense of what it’s like to teach. This program also gives you skills to explore your prospects beyond the classroom.

Organisations and Work (Major)
A major in Organisations and Work provides you with the skills to initiate valued change and contribute in the complex field of management. The development of strategic knowledge provides strong analytical outcomes directed at understanding the impact managers have on organisational decision making.

This major also aims to instil values and attitudes that support leaders in judgements about balancing the pursuit of organisational objectives with creating opportunities for developing people’s capacities.
