Program Overview

In the Bachelor of Science, you’ll gain strong foundational knowledge across key scientific fields alongside in-depth disciplinary knowledge, equipping you with a dynamic and in-demand skillset. You’ll choose from 27 majors, including biology and biodiversity, chemistry, neuroscience, mathematics and advanced physics.

In Computer Science, you’ll study the design, construction and use of computer systems. You’ll examine computing tools, operating systems and computer hardware, and study the representation of data, data structures and the design of algorithms.

Major: Genetics
This Genetics major offers a general introduction to the discipline during the first years of study and then allows students to diversify into the more specialised areas of genetics, including molecular genetics, human genetics, plant and microbial molecular biology, conservation biology, etc. Molecular biology has had a major impact on this discipline and is ideal for those students whose interests are in understanding and appreciating biological processes at the molecular rather than the descriptive level. The study of genetics has taken a more computer/systems approach and the major has a significant focus in this discipline integration of these approaches at the cellular, whole organism and population level.

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
