Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (STEM)

Program Overview

Computer engineers specialize in the design of computers, computer systems, and other digitally based hardware devices. Computer engineers must also be proficient in software design. Applications of computer engineering can be found in communications systems, transportation vehicles, robotics, and consumer electronics, to name just a few.

With a BS in computer engineering from Seattle University, students are uniquely positioned to advance computing technology through skills gained in hardware and software design, and most importantly, a co-design of the two, also known as systems integration. Through courses that support innovation and active learning, students will build a strong foundation in circuits and electronics, embedded systems, computer networks, machine learning, and software associated with computing systems.

Our BS in Computer Engineering degree provides students with the computer hardware and software design skills that can be applied to create advanced robotic platforms, practical Internet of Things applications, and cyber-physical systems.
