Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Law is a double degree that you can complete in five years with full-time study. You’ll complete a minimum of 240 units of credit (UOC) through a combination of core courses, majors, minors and electives.

This globally-recognised, five-year double degree will prepare you for an exciting career in science, law and a range of other industries. Through a balance of theory and practical experience, you’ll develop analytical, research and investigative skills to examine future challenges through an objective, considered lens.

In the Law degree, you’ll learn to approach complex legal issues stemming from new industries and new social expectations, while the Bachelor of Science delivers hands-on learning and career training with 26 specialisations to choose from.

Major: Marine and Coastal Science
Marine and Coastal Science looks at all aspects of the marine environment, encompassing many sciences from biology to geology. Within the School of BEES, Marine and Coastal Science can be studied with an emphasis on biology, Earth sciences or oceanography. Marine Biologists look at life on the shore and in the oceans and estuaries, whereas Marine Geologists study the structure and topography of the ocean floor, ocean sedimentation and marine resources.

Work Permit

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
