Welding Technology is a career technical education program designed to prepare students for a variety of entrylevel positions in today’s welding and fabrication related industries. Course offerings range from very basic welding fundamentals to the most technically advanced. Students gain skillfulness in safety procedures, applied theory, metal fabrication, and related welding processes. Emphasis is placed on individual instruction. Instructors are AWS Certified Welding Inspectors/Educators. Welding curriculum is aligned with the American Welding Society SENSE Entry Welder Program. Students can earn welder certifications in accordance with the American Welding Society (AWS), The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS), and The American Society of Mechanical of Engineers (ASME). Upon successful completion of the program, students are prepared to enter into the following career opportunities: welder, welding inspector, welding technician/fitter, pipe fitter/welder, and metal fabricator.

Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
