Are you passionate about using the power of engineering to solve challenges on an international stage? Help communities improve water sanitation or create sustainable cities promising a heightened quality of life with the dual-degree BEng+BA five-year program in Engineering & International Development Studies. You’ll also have the option to add a development internship to further strengthen your international resumé.

Objectives of the dual degree program

  • Help students integrate social, environmental, political and economic contexts in the application of engineering

International Internship Program
Students in the E&IDS program are encouraged to consider a not-for-credit developmental-related internship position in the summer after third year to gain experience in a practical context. York International will provide logistical and financial support for all students in the program. Internships will be arranged in a wide variety of government and non-government organizations in Canada and abroad
