Keeping people safe and healthy at work is an important job. It’s a job that falls on those who major in occupational safety and health. The environmental health and safety track helps you learn how to create safe workplaces. This comprehensive program at Murray State provides you with the academic knowledge and practical skills needed to enter the workforce with confidence.
Every student in the occupational safety and health program works in the field before graduating. Interviews and information sessions with employers take place right here on campus to help you find college internships/co-ops and, later, a full-time career. Plus, the department of occupational safety and health offers three student groups you can join: the American Industrial Hygiene Association, the American Society of Safety Professionals and Rho Sigma Kappa, an honors society in occupational safety and health.
