Bachelor of Science in Outdoor and Environmental Recreation

Program Overview

As an outdoor and environmental recreation professional, you can work in various areas including camps, outdoor or environmental education programs, parks, and adventure programs. You will work to protect and sustain the natural environment and connect diverse populations to the natural world through education, programming, and adventures.

Do you want to make a difference in people’s lives through activities in the outdoors? Do you have a passion for the outdoors and nature?

If you are the type of person who craves fresh air, adventure, and a close relationship with the natural environment, outdoor recreation is your career. You'll learn the practical application of skills through project-based learning, professional development, and certifications. Before you graduate, our Capstone Experience sends students on 30-week internships throughout the country and abroad. A minor is also available in this concentration.
