Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics Engineering (Co-op)

Program Overview

As a mechatronics engineer, you’ll create smart solutions to today’s and tomorrow’s problems for a world that demands technologically advanced devices. You’ll combine your expertise in mechanical, electrical and computer engineering to design, analyze and maintain current and emerging electromechanical systems. As a leader in an in-demand, rapidly growing field, you’ll drive the development and evolution of engineering.

Our innovative and unique program is based on a foundation in mathematical and scientific practices and emphasizes laboratory, experiential and design learning. Completion of core courses from mechanical, electrical and computer engineering programs will lead to training in mechatronics engineering design, analysis and solution-based processes. Technical electives will allow for specialization in robotics, automation, digital control systems design, consumer electronics and more. As part of your bachelor of engineering (BEng) degree, you can gain valuable, paid work experience by enrolling in the Mechatronics Engineering Co-operative program or enrolling in the Optional Internship Program.
