They design systems that purify and distribute water; collect, manage and treat wastewater; protect natural ecological environments; control air pollution; clean contaminated sites; provide clean energy; and create sustainable world for future generations.

Environmental engineering is truly a multi-disciplinary area of engineering that combines physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, geology, geography, mathematics and public policy.
