Bachelor of Arts in Art History

Program Overview

Founded in the 1950s, the B.A. in Art History at Catholic University is one of the oldest history of art programs in the Nation's Capital; and it capitalizes on its D.C. connections. Art History majors are supported in their efforts to gain internships at the many area galleries; and our professors regularly bring students to museums to do research, meet professionals in the field, and for study tours. Some of our most popular courses are taught entirely in the world class museums on and near the National Mall. This means that our students have professional connections before they graduate; and our alumni are fully prepared for graduate study, with many enrolling in competitive M.A. and Ph.D programs after college. Many more find employment in Washington D.C.'s robust arts scene
