Diploma of Information Technology
If you wish to pursue a career in IT, then the Diploma of Information Technology is ideal for you. It provides a broad introduction to computer science, so you can pursue further studies in specialisations such as software design, information systems and web design. You will progress to the second year of the bachelor’s degree program, and can tailor this towards your career ambitions. The Diploma of Information Technology may also lead to entry level positions in the IT industry, such as help desk roles.

Major: Mobile Computing
This major covers theories and technologies used for the development of distributed applications for hand-held mobile devices. Students completing this major will understand the advanced principles related to mobile hardware devices, data storage and transmission, and communication networks.
In addition they will identify, analyse, and formulate solutions to real-world problems in the mobile domain. In devising these solutions students will also consider principles associated with user interface design, professional and ethical issues, in particular those relating to security and privacy of user data and user behaviour related to mobile devices and its applications.
