Once you successfully complete an SIBT diploma in 8 or 12 months, you can progress straight to your second-year studies at Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus. Our diplomas can also be used to upskill or to launch a new career, so that you can follow your dream career path.
Diploma of Information Technology
The Diploma of Information Technology at SIBT is designed to meet current and emerging needs in the IT sector. As a graduate of this diploma, you will possess knowledge and skills that will enable you to succeed in a wide range of IT practices, including information systems, programming and software design, computer networks, statistics, mathematics for computing, and data management. Additionally, you will develop transferable skills to adapt to fast-moving developments in areas such as cyber security, artificial intelligence and quantum computing cloud networks.

The Bachelor of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is a professional course that will provide you with solid skills and a knowledge base in ICT.
It will provide you with the skills to apply practical solutions to ICT including systems analysis and design, application development, program design, networks, web development and the implementation of technology.
Major: Mobile Computing
The Mobile Computing major covers theories and technologies used for the development of distributed applications for hand-held mobile devices. You will understand the advanced principles related to mobile hardware devices, data storage and transmission, and communication networks. In addition you will identify, analyse, and formulate solutions to real-world problems in the mobile domain.

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
