Students successfully completing the Diploma of Health Science will be granted entry into the second year of a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) at Adelaide University.

Learn how to help people overcome constraints caused by injury or illness. As a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) graduate, you’ll support your clients to do everyday tasks often taken for granted.

Build essential knowledge across key areas of health and complete occupational therapy courses focusing on diverse areas of practice. Gain hands-on experience through placements, workshops and regional experiences.

Practice solving real problems faced by working occupational therapists. Learn all about assistive technology, adaptation techniques and rehabilitation practices. Understand how to help people navigate and manage emotional, developmental, societal, psychological and age-related limitations.

As an occupational therapist, you’ll join the crucial allied health workforce. You could work in hospitals, private practice, aged care facilities, community settings and schools. 15% Adelaide Merit Scholarship	Eligibility Criteria: Foundation Studies Program score: 380/500 or above. Diploma Program GPA of 4.5 or above.
25% Adelaide Emerging Leaders Award	Eligibility Criteria: Foundation Studies Program score: 410/500 or above. Diploma Program GPA of 5.5 or above.
50% Adelaide Academic Excellence Scholarship	Eligibility Criteria: Limited places available, and high academic achievers will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Terms & Conditions:

Students must meet all conditions and accept before the cut-off dates to be eligible, the specific program amount will be applied as a credit to students second trimester of study, scholarships apply to the first 8 modules of the Diploma programs, recipients will not be entitled to the Navitas Family Bursary, or any other scholarship, bursary, incentive, or discount, if you apply to defer or change your studies at any point in your packaged program, SAIBT reserve the right to re-assess.

Work Permit

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
