International students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate course to study at La Trobe University can be rewarded a bonus grant for completing their admission process early. Recipients will automatically be eligible to receive an Early Acceptance Grant of $2,000.

This scholarship will be applied as a discount to the recipient’s tuition fees for each subject undertaken throughout the duration of their course. To receive the scholarship, the recipient must meet all conditions (if applicable) outlined in their La Trobe University Letter of Offer and formally accept the offer by paying the required deposit, as specified in the offer letter. This must be completed before the scholarship acceptance deadline. The scholarship value will be credited to the recipient’s tuition account starting from the second semester. Work Permit

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
