Rivier's 4+1 program provides you with a streamlined, integrated academic experience that will fast track your business career.
Rivier’s Business/MBA 4+1 Program allows you to complete a B.S. in Business in your first four years—fewer if you are a transfer or highly motivated student—and apply for the one-year MBA in your senior year.
To be eligible for the Business/MBA 4+1 Program, you must:
The curriculum focuses on both quantitative and qualitative skills development and incorporates applications-based learning using new technologies, global perspectives, and ethics-based best practices. Small classes with personal attention from faculty help you develop strong business skills and relationships that can last a lifetime.
The one-year MBA provides advanced knowledge in financial management and addresses marketing and new product development, project management, economic analysis, strategies for innovation, and more. The 4+1 option does not apply to the MBA in Healthcare Administration program.
You’ll develop skills in critical thinking and rational decision making, which includes evaluating, synthesizing, and applying theoretical knowledge to real-world situations.

Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
