he Master degree in Applied Economics (MAE) provides strong foundations in economic theory, quantitative methods, applications, and research analysis to prepare graduates for professional careers in business and consulting, government, and research organizations. This degree is designed so that well-prepared students can complete it in only 1 year. In addition to an undergraduate degree in economics, this includes other quantitative fields such as engineering, statistics, computer science, and physics that are often complemented by graduate-level economics training. The MAE program can also expand career opportunities for those with a bachelors degree in psychology, political science, environmental science, philosophy, and the health sciences. Students with less preparation in economics and quantitative methods should consider taking 1 additional semester to finish the program or preparatory courses the summer before enrollment. Don’t hesitate to contact Dr. Michael Brady ([email protected]) to discuss these options.

OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
