Get the skills, experience and confidence you need to make a real impact as a qualified teacher from your first day with La Trobe's accredited Bachelor of Education.

Offered at every campus in Victoria, our flexible degree lets you explore your options before deciding what you'll teach – early childhood and primary, primary, or secondary – at the end of your first year. You'll learn how to manage classrooms, design class plans and guide students by spending at least 80 days in schools and education centres across metropolitan, regional and rural Victoria.

By studying La Trobe's Bachelor of Education, you will:

  • Build your skillset in digital learning, learning contexts, literacy and numeracy, student development and classroom readiness
  • Learn how to design learning environments that meets the needs of a wide range of students inclusive of race, gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic and Indigenous status
  • Explore the most up-to-date and proven approaches to teaching, then put it into practice with placements embedded into the degree
  • Benefit from a supportive learning environment where you'll be mentored by teaching staff and learn from leading researchers who are changing the way people learn to read
  • Graduate with an accredited degree and the in-demand skills you need to launch your teaching career.
