Grounded in the fundamentals, the Avila Public Accounting B.S. major will prepare you for the CPA examination or work in public, corporate, governmental, or non-profit accounting. When you graduate, you’ll understand how bookkeeping, financial planning, and document preparation fit within the modern data-driven workplace. In tandem with our comprehensive Liberal Arts curriculum, you’ll be the prepared, well-rounded candidate employers seek out.
Small class sizes and individualized instruction set Avila apart from other programs. You’ll work one-on-one with your professors—not a T.A.—to solve any challenges you face in or out of the classroom. If you already know you want to take the CPA exam, the Public Accounting program, in tandem with Avila’s M.B.A. program in Accounting, will help you satisfy the required 150 hours you’ll need in Kansas and Missouri. Throw in our guaranteed undergraduate internship or research experience, and you’ll graduate ready to make your mark.
