With an international skills shortage in the engineering industry, and roles expected to rise significantly in the next five years, Deakin graduates are in demand both in Australia and abroad. With ambitious renewable energy targets around the world, there is an increasing global demand for skilled senior engineers who can design, manage and maintain new distributed energy grid systems.

The Master of Energy System Management focuses on practical and real-world problems that blend project-based and workplace learning.

This one-year coursework program extends your knowledge in energy management systems through a unique blend of engineering, IT and science units. Upon graduation, you will be equipped with knowledge and skills to tackle problems associated with energy systems, including efficiencies, renewable and alternative solutions, and policy, all whilst considering environmental impacts. Deakin College Foundation Pathway Scholarship

Students who complete the Deakin College Foundation program and enrol directly into a Deakin University degree will be eligible for the new Deakin College Foundation Pathway Scholarship.

Important dates	Benefits
Commencing T1 2025 until December 2027	10% off the Bachelor degree tuition fees if the graduating Foundation student achieves a grade between 60-65%
	15% off the Bachelor degree tuition fees if the graduating Foundation student achieves a grade of 65%+
Eligibility criteria
The bursary is open to all international students. The bursary can not be held in conjunction with any other Deakin scholarship.

Deakin University offers a bursary of 20% and a scholarship of 25% based on academic merit as outlined in the table below. They are offered upon the total indicative tuition fee stated on your offer letter, available for the normal duration of the course.

Work Permit

PGWP

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
