A major in Interdisciplinary Studies brings together two emphasis areas into an integrated and personalized program of study. Emphasis areas are chosen from the many fields of study and each student completes a culminating project where the two emphasis areas are brought together in an extensive research thesis or real-world project. This capstone experience offers the opportunity to draw from and integrate the knowledge gained in both areas.
Tennessee Tech also offers a 2+2 program in Interdisciplinary Studies with two areas of emphasis: Workplace Leadership and Human Behavior! Our 2+2 program allows you to complete your first 60 credit hours at your local community college, with courses conducted by Tech faculty, and then transfer to Tech to complete the remaining 60 credit hours.
